Let’s make Debian or Arch just work on most phones
You have no idea how any of it works, do you?
Fighting closed source drivers, blobs, configurations, entitled users who want everything to work perfectly is not a child’s play. Having control over the whole device like this project is huge.
You need to share it. It creates a feedback loop. First you’re like wow, people like my app but then it turns to your users scolding you when they hit a bug or want new features.
Then you archive the project and start a new one.
Honestly, Firefox has been stable AF and forks are doing awesome work. Maybe those forks might even continue doing their own thing by the time this project will be ready for beta testing.
Competition is great but this one’s on already on shaky ground.
I’m rooting for Servo more than these fascist wannabes.
